Snap Shot Thursday

Was your day full of thrill and excitement? Given my druthers, I would never have exited my bed and spent the day bonding with a book and my pj’s. It seems though, there are three other people who live here who, very strangely, seem to expect three meals a day and their laundry done…all in all though, the day was very much  worth seeing after all…

Even a house desperately in need of a power washing, paint, and some major green thumb assistance looks pretty dressed in white. Maybe someone from HGTV’s yard crashers will see this picture and come do something about my yard for me. My three little puff ball bushes are looking a tad sad. That’s ice by the way, not snow. Does anybody besides me think that’s weird? I’ve never seen ice rain before, and I’m not sure I approve of it.

black doors white walls

What does one do to keep one’s sanity whilst holed up with two very lively children? Paint. That’s what you do. You just paint, And pretend you don’t notice the strange noises emitted by two otherwise cute children and the various objects sailing through the air. Another two doors down! I love black doors. Love them.

In other news, the benches are done! Hurrah! If you have no idea what I’m talking about, see here. I’ve decided to paint them white, and leave the walls wood to humor my mister. He likes them that way, and I don’t mind it out in this one little room. I found some lounge chair cushions, and I plan to preform a brilliant hack job on them to turn them into bench cushions. By my calculations, my experiment will be less expensive than purchasing foam and fabric to make them from scratch. I know you’ll be on pins and needles to see how it turns out, so I’ll be sure to keep you posted.

cinnamon roll bread

If your in need of some comfort food to lighten your spirits as you gaze into a white waist land of coldness…may I suggest this cinnamon roll quick bread. It. is. divine. I found it via my good friend Pinterest. You may find the recipe here, at rumbly in my tumbly. I recommend eating it warm with lots of gooey glaze on top.
