Hi there! My name is Abby, mom of three busy little girls and one little man. I like to attempt pretty much anything that can be done, made, or fixed (or destroyed) with two hands. Our life took an entirely new turn when my third daughter was born premature at a hefty one pound. My son was born 14 months later with severe health complications due to PUV (bladder obstruction). At a year old we discovered he also had liver cancer. He will need both a kidney and a liver transplant in the future.

I blog about fixing up our 1950′s era house, keeping my sanity as a stay at home mom, and my newest challenge of learning how to care for two children with special needs. Whatever our present life circumstances are, I believe there is always the potential to improve the things we can, and find purpose in the things we can’t. God is my faithful friend and the writer of our story…He is a wonderful writer! (He also doesn’t believe in “boring”!)

I rarely read blogs. I have a full and active life and don’t feel the need to dip into the sort of personal writing I usually find in blogs. But, I was drawn into yours by your expertise in a variety of areas (especially painting paneling and your re-dos and up-dos) and by your humorous and witty writing. I also like that you make your testimony of faith directly, though not in a pushy manner. Keep up the good work.

Hi there this is somewhat of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you
have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding knowledge so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience.
Any help would be enormously appreciated!
