I’m really not into complicated projects. For one thing, nap times seem to be growing shorter by the day (why oh why do kids have to outgrow naps?! Sniff.). For another, I have too many ideas rattling around in my brain to stay focused for very long. So that brings me to the simplest curtain ever created….no curtain rod needed.
I did have a floor length, rather elegant lace curtain in this bathroom….and then the toilette decided to have a bad attitude all over the floor one day. After I got through with the damage control, I decided elegance is highly over rated and created this cute little valence with ties instead….which conveniently comes no where near the floor. Go ahead toilette, do your worst, I’m prepared. (Really though, couldn’t you just play nice? It is the season of goodwill and joy all that stuff you know.)
Here’s how you make it. Get a strip of cloth the same width as your window. Hem all the edges. Or hot glue them if you have an aversion to thread and sewing machines.
Cut 30 inch ribbon strips, fold them in half, and sew them to one edge of the curtain. Tie on cute hooks over the window. I know. mind. blown.
The crate shelves are even more mind blowing. This bathroom is just an all around feat of ingenuity. Or the desperate workings of a mother short on time. Whatever.
So have you started Christmas decorating? I normally wait until after Thanksgiving, but I’m having a hard time being patient this year. It’s all my neighbor’s fault, she has her house bedecked to the ceilings… bright green, peacocks, sparkles, and crystals everywhere. It’s magnificent. If I can pursued her to let me take pictures, I’ll show you. I just adore holiday decorating, don’t you?
2 Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
